AU History: A street kid in Rabanastre's Lowtown. Orphaned thanks to the war. Learns to read from an exceptionally young age; devours books on law. Aspirations turn towards Archadia's Judges fairly early on, but abandoned as she realizes she would rather vigilantism. She is known around town as a charming, intelligent girl but a liar. The locals are wary as she's often seen talking people into doing things they don't want to do.
Examples: She will get shopkeepers to lower the price for her and her few close friends but will report any (most) shoplifting she sees, and she sees all of it. She has a reputation for tricking other children into doing dangerous things. Not many of her acquaintances come back from intense playdates and so a lot of parents keep their kids away from her! So she hangs with fellow orphans.
All of that said... she has never killed anyone directly. Her killing takes the form of telling someone to step along a thin walkway over a great height on a very windy day, or getting someone else to accidentally push them over the edge. She does not dirty her own hands, but considers herself a harbinger of justice anyways! And no one is ever able to prove she's guilty of anything.
So ultimately she's just a girl with a dangerous reputation.
Terezi's eyesight is also extremely poor, and so the rest of her senses are very keen. Her technick Libra allows her in particular an enhanced sense of smell; she can smell or "taste" things that are not really tangible, such as a lie or a truth.
